What We Believe
Affiliation and Statement of Faith
Whigham Baptist Church is autonomous and maintains the right to govern its own affairs, independent of any denominational control. However, since the Bible teaches that local churches should seek voluntary fellowship with other doctrinally sound bodies, we will cooperate with, pray for, financially support, participate with and elect messengers, as provided by their bylaws, with the Grady County Baptist Association, Georgia Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention and our statement of faith is The Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Mission Statement
Whigham Baptist Church exists to glorify God. We commit ourselves to celebrative worship, evangelism, ministry, discipleship, prayer, fellowship and sharing with others as the Lord may lead. We will seek to do these things not only in Whigham but in the surrounding communities and throughout the world.
